(QNO) - Seeing piles of shells washed ashore, Vo Cao Dinh collected and crafted them into fine artworks worth millions of dongs.
In mid-December, Vo Cao Dinh, from Tam Tien commune (Nui Thanh, Quang Nam province), was in the 2-day process of completing his nearly 1m² scallop shell artwork. He used over 100 colourful shells, carefully assembling them into a picture that was ordered for VND 1.6 million.
Dinh has a café next to Tam Tien fish market, so it is quite crowded with customers who are attracted by his fine artworks made of seashells.
Dinh started collecting seashells in 2019 while taking his kids to the beach, initially making toys for them. When displayed at his café, the toys were very attractive to customers. Since then, Dinh decided to make fine artworks of seashells for sale.
