(QNO) - Quang Nam province has attracted investors by its creativeness, development, services, guarantees of free business right, favorable conditions.

Eventful investment climate

In the final week of March, many projects in different fields were inaugurated and put into operation in Quang Nam province such as Mazda motor assembly and manufacturing plant (the most modern of its kind in  Southeast Asia) with the total investment of VND12,000 billion and a capacity of 100,000 units per year by Truong Hai Auto corporation (THACO), the Vinpearl Nam Hoi An resort and villas (in Thang Binh district) with the total investment capital of VND5,000 billion. Reported from the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, new licenses have been given to 473 businesses, 10 FDI projects with the total investment of $92.9 million (raising the number of the valid FDI projects to 143 with the investment capital of $5.5 billion) and 20 domestic projects with the total registered capital of nearly VND10,000 billion, notably Opal Ocean View project in Duy Xuyen district with VND 4,683 billion. Moreover, at the Quang Nam investment promotion conference in March, 2017, THACO pledged to invest nearly $3 billion into agricultural mechanics, and Chu Lai urban area in the period of 2017-2021. According to Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu, the investment climate in Quang Nam province has been improved and clearly proved by the effective projects and businesses here.

More 1,000 businesses in the province

Quang Nam has attracted many considerable investors at home and abroad such as THACO, Chu Lai floating glass, Dong Tam enamelled tile, Indochina Capital, Victoria, Golden Sand, Hyundai, Mazda, Heneiken, Panko, Palm Garden. The province plans to attract 1,000 businesses more in 2017, increasing the number of the businesses in Quang Nam to 7,500 until 2020. According to  Director of the Center for Public Administration and Investment Promotion Vo Van Hung, the provincial authorities will create favourable conditions for business operation, monitor the support progress of businesses, and timely and effectively unbind businesses’ difficulties. The business support and development programme is not a temporary campaign but a long journey of the local economy.
