(QNO) - Within the framework of the conference on developing Ngoc Linh ginseng into a national brand, an exhibition of Ngoc Linh ginseng cultivated in Quang Nam and Kon Tum provinces was oragnised in Tam Ky city.
At the exhibition, a lot of precious Ngoc Linh ginseng products were introduced to the public.
Ngoc Linh ginseng is well-known as Vietnamese ginseng, distributed in the mountainous areas of Nam Tra My district (Quang Nam province) and Tu Mo Rong (Kon Tum province). It is a precious medicinal herb that has high economic values.
In addition, a planning map of Ngoc Linh ginseng planting area, photos, scientific information such as nutrients of Ngoc Linh ginseng were displayed. Visitors had chances to enjoy bowls of Ngoc Linh ginseng noodles.
Speaking at the exhibition, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu said the exhibition was a great opportunity to introduce Ngoc Linh ginseng products to the public.
Ngoc Linh ginseng is proved as one of the best ginseng species in the world.
Currently, Ngoc Linh ginseng is planted in over 15,000 hectares by over 1,000 households in 7 communes of Nam Tra My district.
By growing Ngoc Linh ginseng, local people know how to protect, restore and develop forests.
