Excavation and restoration of the My Son World Cultural Heritage

(QNO) - The excavation and restoration of the K and H Groups of the My Son World Cultural Heritage (Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) is coming to its peak time under the guidance of Indian experts and their Vietnamese fellow-workers.

The restoration of the K Group monuments

The 5-year project of the My Son World Cultural Heritage restoration costs over VND60 billion, of which over VND50 billion is funded by the Government of India. The rest is from the Vietnamese governmental counterpart fund. The goal of the project is to restore the K, H Groups and A Tower.

The project is divided into several phases. In the period from now to the end of May 2017, the K and H Groups will be excavated and restored. The excavation and restoration will happen at the same time in order to maintain the core values of the heritage.
