Ethnic groups' cultural conservation and promotion

(QNO) - Quang Nam Province strives to set up cultural institutions in 100% of the ethnic minority villages in the period 2018-2025.

The project on ethnic groups’ cultural conservation and promotion in Quang Nam province in the period 2018-2025 has just been outlined. It aims to mobilize all the resources for the ethnic groups’ cultural conservation and promotion in the locality, contribute to the local socio-economic growth and national security.

Reportedly, there are about 130,000 ethnic people (accounting for 8.93% of local population) living in Quang Nam province, and belonging to the ethnic groups of Co Tu, Xo Dang, Cor and Gie – Trieng. In recent years, Quang Nam has issued many mechanisms, policies and supports to better the spiritual and cultural lives of the ethnic minorities in the province.
