(QNO) - The youth in Tra Linh commune (Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province) have worked in groups of households to plant Ngoc Linh ginseng since 2017, contributing to the local alleviation of poverty.
A group of youths from Hamlet 3, Tra Linh commune has been taking care of a garden of over 1,000 Ngoc Linh ginseng roots at different ages.
Since planting ginseng together, the local youths have recognized the importance of forest protection; thus the deforestation has been solved.
There are from 20 to 30 members in a group of planting Ngoc Ling ginseng. They take turns patrolling and guarding to protect their ginseng.
So, there is no thief of ginseng. At the same time, the problem of jobs for youths has also been solved.
The model of planting Ngoc Linh ginseng in groups helps the local youths save their time and effort but have a stable income for life. It’s contributed to the local poverty alleviation effectively.
