The total investment capital of the project is equivalent to over VND 2,748 billion. VND 1,832 billion is loaned by the World Bank, the rest from Quang Nam reciprocal capital.

The project will dredge 60km of the Truong Giang river from Cua Dai to An Hoa Bay, set up embankments to protect river banks from landslides, and build a complex of canals, culverts and dams for drainage in Tam Ky city.

Besides, there will be 6 new bridges crossing the Truong Giang river to be built in the project. They are Binh Duong, Hung My, Binh Nam, Tinh Thuy, Tam Thanh and Tam Tien bridges.

The project is aimed at enhancing adaptive infrastructure approaches and the local capacity of disaster risk planning and management.

In particular, the project will remove obstacles, connecting the infrastructure of key coastal economic zones, residential and tourist areas, improving the inland navigation system, and intensifying the drainage of the Truong Giang basin.
