(QNO) - The economy of Quang Nam province is gradually recovered after Covid-19.
According to Chairman of Thaco (Truong Hai Auto Corporation) Tran Ba Duong, Thaco plans to sell more than 142.000 vehicles in domestic market and export 2.400 ones in 2022. Thaco's total revenue in 2022 is estimated more than VND 100,230 billion.
Thaco's strong growth has become a driving force for the revival of other Quang Nam businesses.
In the first quarter of 2022, the local industrial production index increased by 17.6% over the same period last year, mainly in processing, manufacturing, mining, water supply and waste treatment.
That of trade, tourism and services increased by 3,3% compared with the same period last year.
Both domestic and foreign visitors have returned to Quang Nam after two years of lockdown due to Covid-19.
In addition, 293 new businesses, one FDI business and 12 domestic investment projects have been licensed in Quang Nam.
In the first quarter of 2022, Quang Nam entered the top 6 provinces and cities nationwide with a double-digit growth rate (11.24%), ranking 4th in the country and leading in the Central key economic region.

According to a leader of Quang Nam province, Le Tri Thanh, it is necessary for Quang Nam to accelerate investment attraction, unbind businesses’ difficulties, control disease prevention, respond to climate change and implement an adaptive and safe economic recovery program.
