Quang Nam provincial Party Secretary Phan Viet Cuong has just had a working session with the enterprises in Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park (Dien Ban town).
The session is aimed at encouraging the enterprises in this park to overcome difficulties due to COVID-19. At the same time, he asked enterprises here to continue to implement the measures against COVID-19 and for economic growth in the “new normal” state.
Overcoming difficulties
At the session, General Director of Rieker Vietnam- Walter Bauer stated although the orders have decreased due to the pandemic, the company is attempting not to reduce the number of laborers.
After the period of quarantine, the company has resumed its operations in combination with applying the measures to prevent the COVID-19 from spread, monitoring employees’ health, supporting them rice, food, necessities and vitamin supplements.
General Director of Heineken Vietnam Brewery Company Limited - Quang Nam Nguyen Thanh Phuc said the factory still tries to maintain production activities and ensure the COVID-19 prevention. At present, a half of workers of the company are working at home to prevent the spread of the disease.
Economic growth amid COVID-19
Speaking at the session, Secretary Cuong said Quang Nam promises to create the best conditions for businesses’ investment and operation in the province.
The province allows foreign experts to enter Quang Nam for work but they are required to strictly obey the Vietnamese regulations on the Covid-19 prevention and control.
In addition, Quang Nam leader recognized the efforts of enterprises in stabilizing production activities, creating jobs for local laborers, contributing to the provincial budget.
Quang Nam is now setting a new normal state in which all social and production activities are done in combination with the measures for Covid-19 infection prevention and control.
