(QNO) - The Da Nang Department of Tourism has just had a discussion with airlines and travel companies in India about opening direct flights and exploiting tourists to Da Nang in the coming time.
The delegation led by Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, paid a working visit to New Delhi and Gurugram (India) from September 12 to 14. Gurugram is home to the headquarters of airlines and is the largest city in the state of Haryana in North India.
According to Ms. Hanh, Da Nang is an attractive new destination for Indian tourists.
In the first 9 months of 2023, there were more than 95 thousand Indian visitors to Da Nang, accounting for about 50% of the total Indians visitors to Vietnam.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism had a working session with Air India, Vistara, and IndiGo airlines to provide them with information about the destinations in Da Nang, the potential of the Indian tourist market, and preferential policies for international airlines with direct flights to Da Nang.
Besides, the Da Nang Department of Tourism had a meeting with international travel companies that have been bringing tourists to Vietnam and Da Nang, including Motherson Air Travel, Dream Trip4U, and Luxury Vacations & Holidays.
The department promised to establish connections between airlines and tourism businesses, creating attractive and preferential product packages for Indian tourists.
