(QNO) - The digital transformation in Quang Nam's agriculture and rural development sector have seen remarkable progress. In 2023, the Quang Nam provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) ranked first in terms of digital transformation.
Under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 749, approving the "National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with an orientation to 2030," agriculture is one of eight priority sectors for digital transformation.
This transition is essential for developing smart agriculture and modern rural areas, while also helping Quang Nam's OCOP (One Commune, One Product) and startup products reach broader markets.
The Provincial Farmers' Union, in collaboration with the Provincial Post Office, has helped 3,307 agricultural households bring 167 products onto e-commerce platforms.
These farmers have also adopted cashless payments, e-invoicing, e-tax filing, and product traceability through barcodes and QR codes. Over 30,000 individuals have been guided to install and activate the "Vietnamese Farmers" digital app.
Quang Nam is now enhancing digital data development, upgrading IT infrastructure, and encouraging the use of digital platforms, including in agriculture.
