Da Nang wins Seoul Smart City Award

(QNO) - The central city of Da Nang was honoured with the Human Centricity Prize at the Seoul Smart City Prize by the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government (South Korea) on September 26, 2023.

This award aims to promote the model of the smart, innovative, and comprehensive city, shortening the digital gap in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).

This core mission served as the basis for two categories of the Seoul Smart City Prize: Tech-InnovaCity and Human-CentriCity.

The panel of judges included experts from various fields in smart cities: artificial intelligence (AI), data management, e-government, social organizations, non-governmental organizations, international development cooperation, urban planning and development.

In 2019, Da Nang was honoured with the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO)’s Smart City Award.

Aside from being an official member of WeGO, Da Nang is a member of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network.
