(QNO) - Information from the Danang Department of Tourism, in the first quarter of 2024, Da Nang welcomed over 1.88 million visitors, generating revenue from accommodation, dining, and tourism of over 7.6 trillion VND.
The number increased by over 25% compared to the same period in 2023. Accommodation and travel revenue is estimated to reach over 3,700 billion VND, a 46% increase from the same period.
In the first quarter of 2024, the number of international tourists staying in Da Nang reached nearly 636,000, while domestic tourists reached nearly 1.25 million.
In the first 3 months of the year, the total number of flights to Da Nang was estimated to reach 9,550 flights with approximately 1.59 million passengers.
It is expected that in the second quarter of 2024, Da Nang will have 5 new international flight routes to markets such as Taiwan (China), Laos, the Philippines, and Japan.
Additionally, it will host various exciting events and festivals, such as the Brazil - Vietnam Football Festival 2024, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, Vinfast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, and the Southeast Asian Student Sports Festival, which are expected to attract a large number of tourists.
