(QNO) - The Department of Tourism of Da Nang city cooperated with the Indonesian Travel Agents Association to organize the Da Nang tourism introduction program in Jakarta, Indonesia on October 6th.
The event featured the presence of Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Ta Van Thong - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Indonesia, and over 100 guests including airline representatives and travel agencies in Da Nang and Indonesia.
Mr. Tran Chi Cuong stated that Da Nang received a significant number of Indonesian tourists over the past 9 months. Therefore, Indonesia becomes one of the potential markets in which Danang tourism is particularly interested.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Ta Van Thong pledged to actively promote the establishment of direct flight routes from Indonesia to Da Nang and enhance exchange visitors between the two countries in the near future.
Ms. Pauline - President of the Indonesian Agents Travel Association also shared that approximately 53% of Indian tourists are willing to spend on high-end tour services in Vietnam. With the direct flight starting soon, travel partners from both sides can look forward to further strengthening the cooperation.
On the occasion, a cooperation agreement on exchanging tourist sources and promoting air services between the two sides was signed by the Da Nang Travel Association and the Indonesian Travel Agents Association.
