VOV.VN - The Da Nang Department of Tourism, in collaboration with national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, debuted a booth to promote Vietnamese tourism at the Tourism EXPO Japan 2024 on September 26.
The Da Nang FantastiCity & Vietnam Airlines booth spans an area of 36 square metres among booths of various Asian destinations such as Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The booth provides tourism information about Da Nang, and introduces Vietnam Airlines. It is also the main venue for meetings among firms, including Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resort & Spa, Southern Breeze Joint Stock Company, New Orient Da Nang Hotel and Kajin Vina Travel Company, and foreign partners.
Some exciting activities got underway during the event, such as lucky spins for guests and check-in photo shooting to receive gifts in order to attract more visitors.
Japan is a major tourist market for Da Nang. In the opening eight months of the year the central city welcomed 121,000 Japanese arrivals, equivalent to the total number of Japanese visitors to the city in 2023.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates the Narita-Da Nang air route with a frequency of seven flights per week.
Tourism EXPO Japan makes up one of the world’s largest travel expo jointly organised by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association (JTTA), Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). It has been held annually since 2014.
This year the event is expected to attract more than 180,000 visitors and 1,200 exhibitors from 80 countries and territories worldwide, with diverse activities such as business-to-business (B2B) networking activities, seminars, and public tours.
