(QNO) - From January 10 to 20, 2025, Da Nang hosts famtrip groups from the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan to conduct surveys and promote the opening of direct flight routes.
The famtrip group of 25 representatives from Philippine travel agencies surveyed tourist destinations in Da Nang and Hoi An (Quang Nam).
This is part of a plan to promote direct flights from Manila to Da Nang, operated by Cebu Pacific Air with 7 flights per week and charter flights by Royal Air with a frequency of one flight every four days.
The CIS famtrip delegation, comprising six representatives from travel companies in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, visited and surveyed Da Nang, helping to promote the city’s image and tourism potential to travelers from CIS countries.
The trip also fostered opportunities for collaboration between Da Nang’s tourism businesses and travel agencies from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, paving the way for direct flights from Astana and Almaty to Da Nang, expected to launch in late March 2025.
In 2024, Da Nang welcomed 10.9 million visitors, including a record 4.1 million international arrivals. The Philippines contributed 80,000 visitors, an eightfold increase from 2023.
CIS countries, with growing travel demand, are a promising market for unique destinations like Da Nang.
