(QNO) - On the morning of April 24, Chinese Consul General in Danang City, Dong Bi You, had a courtesy visit to Quang Nam. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Quang Nam provincial Party Secretary, received her.
At the meeting, the Chinese Consul General in Danang City talked about China’s socio-economic development and its contributions to the world and Asian economies.
She also mentioned China’s 5 advantages, including a large consumer market, a complete industrial system that can provide supply chains, a large number of entrepreneurs and businesses, high-quality human resources, the development of scientific and technological innovation, and the development of the socialist market economy.
According to Dong Bi You, Quang Nam has a lot of potential for economic development, including the advantage of the sea and transport infrastructure networks.
Quang Nam economic development orientations in the provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, are similar to the Chinese ones, creating the premise to promote economic cooperation between Quang Nam and Chinese localities.
At the same time, Dong Bi You hopes there will be more cooperative relationships between Quang Nam and Chinese localities in terms of Party building, economic development, and social welfare. At the same time, she mentioned the friendship between Quang Nam and Guangxi.
At the meeting, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet talked about the provincial socio-economic development, potential and strengths in tourism, agriculture and medicinal herbs, forest cover, mineral resources, the automobile industry, and supporting industries.
Currently, there are 12 China's FDI projects, with a total capital of over US$177 million, in Quang Nam. They focus on the processing and manufacturing industries. In 2023, there were nearly 30 thousand Chinese arrivals in Quang Nam.
Quang Nam hopes that the Chinese Consul General in Danang City will support Quang Nam in the establishment of more cooperative relations with Chinese localities in Party building and development, tourism, medicinal herbs, hi-tech agriculture, social welfare, etc.
