(QNO) - The delegation of Champasak province (Laos) paid a visit to Quang Nam province on December 8. On this occasion, the delegation gave 10 thousands US dollars to Quang Nam victims of the typhoon 12.

Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Champasak provincial People’s Council Mr. Meksa Vanh Phomphithat on behalf of the delegation and Champasak people shared the woes Quang Nam people had from natural disasters. He also believed that Quang Nam authorities and people could soon get over these difficulties, re-stabilizing their lives and production.

On behalf of Quang Nam provincial leaders and people, Standing Deputy Secretary Phan Viet Cuong received the Lao delegation and thanked for their sentiment and donation. He also talked about the damages Quang Nam suffered from natural disasters and the ways to overcome them. The donation from Champasak leaders and people was promised to be sent to Quang Nam victims of natural disasters soon with its origin being informed clearly.
At the meeting, Mr. Phan Viet Cuong and Mr. Meksa Vanh Phomphithat talked about some important activities between the two provinces in 2017- a year of special significance between the two countries. They also stated that the special friendship and solidarity between Quang Nam and Champasak would always be stronger and stronger.
