(QNO) - The Central coastal region investment promotion conference was held in Da Nang on March 21. The participaters included top leaders of central coast provoinces (CCPs), representatives from Government, National Assembly, ministries, 5 provinces of the central highlands, nearly 400 domestic and foreign investors and trading firms.
This first association conference of the CCPs aimed to strengthen the co-operation and co-ordination between these localities to promote the socio-economics development of the whole region. It was also a forum for direct discussions, exchanges, co-operation between the domestic and foreign investors, enterprises, international organizations, government, leaders of ministries and CCPs. At the conference, all parterners signed a joint statement for creating common investment promotion plan for the whole central coast region.
In the morning of March 22nd, two discussions about tourism and industry (the strengths of the regional investment attraction) and four other discussions were held by the People's Committees of Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen and Binh Thuan provinces. In the afternoon, a dialogue took place between Party’s secretaries, People’s Committee chairperson of 9 CCPs and the strategic investors and investment corporations. At the conference, many investment licenses and investment co-operation memoranda were signed between regional authorities and strategic investors.
