(QNO) - An additional reprint of the book titled "Images on the cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam in Hoi An" is carried out by the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation (Quang Nam province).
The 100-page book is republished in Vietnamese and Japanese. It focuses on cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam 400 years ago via letters, trading exchange, accommodation, relics, intangible cultural factors, etc., and on-going exchanges including friendly mutual visits, twinning, cooperation.
The book will be introduced on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage (from December 1 to 5, 2023) and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Japan - Vietnam diplomatic relations (1973 - 2023)
Previously, the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation compiled and published the Vietnamese - English bilingual book titled "Images on the cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam in Hoi An" in 2009.
The additional reprint of the book written in Vietnamese and Japanese further affirms and strengthens the traditional good friendship between the two countries, Vietnam and Japan in general, and Hoi An and Japan in particular.
