(QNO) - The information about Bai Choi will be documented in the period of 2019-2025 in order to preserve and promote the values of this UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.

According to the Quang Nam’s Plan 6202/KH-UBND to preserve and promote the values of intangible heritage Bai Choi in the period 2019-2025, it is essential to further promotion, raise the awareness of Bai Choi preservation and promotion, popularize Bai Choi intangible heritage, maintain and develop Bai Choi clubs. In addition, it is planned to investigate, collect and document the information about Bai Choi art in Quang Nam.
As a province of thick cultural and historical descriptions, Quang Nam owns various kinds of precious tangible and intangible heritages. They are My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An ancient town, Cham Islands World Biosphere Reserve, and Bai Choi art (UNESCO intangible heritage in Central Vietnam).
The preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritages is one of the activities in conservation of cultural identity. It is the basic condition and an effort to develop sustainably. Quang Nam has encouraged and facilitated the investigations into conservation and promotion of intangible heritages, Bai Choi art included.
The plan to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage Bai Choi in Quang Nam in the period 2019-2025 also aims to meet the locals’ demand for cultural enjoyment, to make a connection between cultural heritages and community tourism, and to mobilize all the resources for the preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage of Bai Choi.
