(QNO) - Located along the heritage road, Quang Nam has focused on preserving the cultures of ethnic communities in nine mountainous districts as a foundation for developing community-based tourism.
When festivals take over or visitors arrive, some young men from Lang commune (Tay Giang, Quang Nam) proudly put on traditional costumes made from bark to perform gongs. The deep and resonant sounds of gongs on the Annamite Range and the traditional cultural values have become attractive to visitors to Co Tu people there.
Quang Nam has implemented policies to revive traditional craft villages and integrate residential planning with cultural village tourism development. Tourism models in Nam Giang, Dong Giang, and Tay Giang have become increasingly popular destinations.
According to local authorities, the preservation of traditional ethnic cultural values can help promote tourism and attract investment, thereby creating sustainable livelihoods for local ethnic minorities.
Quang Nam has also facilitated major investment in developing cultural and exploratory tourism in the provincial highlands, providing stable employment and improving local livelihoods.
