(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the ASEAN Music Festival 2022 has been held in Hoi An city of Quang Nam province. Present at the event were Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The ASEAN Music Festival 2022 takes place from the 19th to the 24th of December with the participation of 14 troupes from ASEAN countries (10 Vietnamese, 4 others from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar.)
The event is among the activities within the framework of the closing of the National Tourism Year – Quang Nam 2002 and those marking the 55th founding anniversary of ASEAN.
More than 200 artists participate in the ASEAN Music Festival 2022, which attracts many local and foreign visitors.
Giving a speech at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman Tran Van Tan said that the ASEAN Music Festival 2022 is a chance for the ASEAN countries to promote cultural exchange, learn more about performance arts and the quintessence of traditional music.
The festival also creates opportunities for Quang Nam to promote the provincial potential and advantages for tourism development, including traditional cultural values, heritages and other tourist attractions.
Moreover, the event gives powerful evidence about Quang Nam- a safe and friendly tourist destination.
