(QNO) - Tran Van Hung, an old farmer living in Duy Vinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, has been making a lot of environment- friendly products of bamboo.
Mr. Hung was born in a family of making bamboo and leaf products; therefore, he decided to develop his familial traditional career after demobilization. After over 30 years of working hard, his familial workshop becomes well-known. His products of bamboo can be used as souvenirs for interior decoration. They are night lamps, tea pots, lanterns, tables and chairs, fishes, shrimps, dragons, birds among others.
To have enduring bamboo products, bamboo trees have to be soaked in mud during 6 months.
Besides, he links to tourist agencies to introduce his products. He has also made a cafeteria in front of his workshop used as a rest-stop. There is now a foreign company that wants to cooperate with him.
Mr. Hung’s bamboo workshop is working well, according to Duy Vinh leaders.
