An international cruise ship brings nearly 1,800 passengers to Da Nang

(QNO) - Resorts World One, a Bahamas-flagged cruise ship, carrying nearly 1,800 foreign tourists docked at Tien Sa port on October 4th. It is the second time this year Resorts World One has come to Da Nang.

Resorts World One is a modern liner manufactured in Germany with a total tonnage of over 75,300 tons, 268m long, nearly 32m wide, accommodating nearly 2,000 passengers, and 928 luxury rooms.

More than 70% of the rooms on the cruise ship have private balconies and numerous recreation and entertainment facilities.

During a day in Da Nang, the cruise ship passengers from from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, Malaysia… visited famous tourist attractions in Da Nang such as Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula, Museum of Cham Sculpture, and went shopping in the city center.

In addition, these passengers were taken to visit popular tourist destinations in Quang Nam province such as the Japanese Covered Bridge (Chua Cau), Hoi An ancient town, Tra Que vegetable village, My Son Sanctuary, and experienced boats ride on the Thu Bon river.

In the first 9 months of 2023, Da Nang welcomed 19 international cruise ships with 19,500 passengers and crew at Tien Sa port. As planned, Da Nang will welcome 30 international cruise ships with about 30,000 tourists and crew members in 2023.

Reportedly, in the first 9 months of this year, Da Nang received more than 1.6 million international visitors, a remarkable 5.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
