At the meeting with Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, Mr. Coates reported some activities of the VVPI in the province since 2015, including the cooperation in searching for information about Vietnamese soldiers missing during the war and mobilizing the US Government for its responsibility for veterans’ children and Agent Orange victims.

Chairman Le Tri Thanh thanked the VVPI for the contributions to alleviating the pain of war. He also wished the VVPI could organise more humanitarian activities and exchanges between veterans’, wounded soldiers’ and martyrs’ families, facilitating their searching for information.

Hopefully, the VVPI can give its voice to the US Government and related organisations, joining hands to alleviate the pain of war and to build world peace.

On this occasion, the delegation gave a dossier on Vietnamese soldiers in a collective grave in Binh Dinh province. It will help Quang Nam find out Quang Nam’s missing soldiers in the war.

Earlier, the veterans’ association of Quang Nam had a working session with the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), talking about the difficulties in its activities and calling for the VVA’s supports.
