Active international integration

(QNO) - Quang Nam province has reached more achievements over the years thanks to the provincial active international integration.

Signing ceremony of agreement on the friendship and cooperation between Quang Nam and Nagasaki (Japan) provinces in November 2017.

The Board of International Integration Guidance was established by the Quang Nam People’s Committee on 24 November, 2016. This agency is to help Quang Nam authorities build and deploy the provincial strategies and policies in international integration. Besides, the good relationships between Quang Nam and its partners and foreign localities contribute opportunities to Quang Nam provincial international integration in many fields, especially in politics, economy and culture.

According to Director of Foreign Affairs Department and Assistant Chief of the Board of International Integration Guidance of Quang Nam province Nguyen Thanh Hong, international integration is considered as a key task. Quang Nam has focused on resource mobilization, improvements of investment and trade, Provincial Competitivess Index (PCI) upgrading for the provincial socio-economic growth. Many investment promotion activities at home and abroad reached outstanding results, including the events of investment promotion of Quang Nam province in Thailand, Japan, in the framework of APEC Vietnam 2017; the programmes of Meet the USA 2017, Meeting South Korean investors 2017. Last year, the first Quang Nam Investment Promotion Conference was organised after 20 years of establishment, attracting 32 projects from domestic and foreign investors and businesses with a total registered capital of 16 billion USD. Some activities of APEC Vietnam 2017 organised in Quang Nam province created the good impression about Quang Nam images in international friends’ hearts.

However, Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee and Head of the Board of International Integration Guidance Dinh Van Thu said it was necessary to strengthen the information, knowledge and compentece of international integration, investment climate improvement in the province to better the international integration and Quang Nam development.
