(QNO) - Digital transformation is identified as the key to socio-economic development in Quang Nam.
Accordingly, Quang Nam provincial Party Standing Committee has promulgated Resolution 04 on digital transformation till 2025, a vision to 2030.
Quang Nam now ranks 24th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of digital transformation.
Digital government development
Quang Nam will make every effort to become a digital government by 2025. The province will provide 90% of online public services.
It is expected that digital economy will account for 8-10% of GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product). Over 50% of the population has an e-payment account.
The digital transformation will be synchronised all over the province by 2030, facilitating production and business, start-up and creation.
To reach the goals, Quang Nam should have proper policies so as to accelerate the digital business transformation and attract digital businesses.
Besides, it is necessary to improve digital infrastructure, especially communication technology and telecommunications in mountainous areas, build digital government and smart urban areas.
In addition, the synchronisation of digital transformation has to be implemented in all provincial localities.
Practically, the Intelligent Operations Centre of Quang Nam came into operation in 2020, contributing to better Quang Nam’s e-government.
Smart Quang Nam application was launched in 2021 to connect the provincial government with local residents, using Switchboard Services (1022) to provide people and businesses with necessary information.
Quang Nam’s online public services are more and more improved and convenient.
It helps reduce time and costs of administrative procedures, making people and businesses more satisfied.
Achievements
FPT Group committed itself to digital transformation in Quang Nam in the 2021-2025 period under an 11-clause contract.
Accordingly, digital transformation has been deployed all over the province.
100% of the provincial cities and districts have applied digital transformation this year. There are 1,281 online public services and 1,198 of them have been integrated on the national public service portal.
There are now 13,185 installations of Smart Quang Nam application, 52 specialised databases, 11 OCOP products displayed on e-commerce platform.
Most of the secondary schools in Quang Nam have already used e-school management system.
A pilot smart tourism system has also implemented, including tourist portal, tourist digital map, smart travel application on mobile devices. GIS maps have been deployed for investment promotion.
