About 300 representatives attending the APEC 2017 Finance Ministers' Meeting

(QNO) - They are from 21 APEC members and international organizations such as World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017 Finance Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) will be held in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province on 21 October. It is the most important event of the APEC Finance Ministers’ Process. Earlier, the Meetings of APEC Senior Finance Officials,  Deputy Finance Ministers and Deputy Governors of APEC Central Banks will be held on 19-20 October. At the FMM, the ministers will focus on the situations of regional and global economy and macrofinance. The FMM will consider the results of financial cooperation process of 4 prior subjects in the year: infrastructure investment; financial inclusion and benefit transfer; finance and disaster insurance; and covering finance. They also update the deployment of Cebu Action Plan and the others related. Besides, the APEC Finance Ministers will have a dialogue with the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and leaders of large businesses and corporations in the Asia-Pacific region.

The results from the APEC FMM will be sent to the APEC National Committee in the preparation for the APEC Summit in November 2017 in Da Nang city.
