A Quang Nam provincial leaders' courtesy call on new Consul General of China to Da Nang

(QNO) - Vice chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Van Thanh and his fellows paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Xi Hui – new Consul General of China in Da Nang city on May 4.

On this occasion, Mr. Le Van Thanh congratulated Mrs. Xi Hui on being appointed as the first Chinese consul general to Da Nang city. He also mentioned some recent results of socio-economic development of Quang Nam province, the cooperation between Quang Nam province and Chinese partners, the Vietnamese Chinese lives in Hoi An city. At the same time, Mr. Le Van Thanh asked Mrs. Xi Hui in the position as the new Consul General to promote the cooperative relationships between Vietnam and China in general, Quang Nam and Chinese localities in particular.  He especially paid attention to the cooperation in investment, trade and travel; therefore, he wished to introduce Quang Nam’s potentials and advantages to Chinese partners and vice versa.

In reply, Mrs. Xi Hui gave thanks to the leaders of Quang Nam and appreciated the good relationship between China and Vietnam. According to Mrs. Xi Hui, Vietnam is China's largest trading partner in the ASEAN. The cooperative potentials between Chinese and Central Vietnam’s provinces and cities are very large. She also promised to try her best to strengthen the cooperative relationships between two countries and their localities, to introduce Quang Nam to Chinese businessmen. Concurrently, she suggested Quang Nam creating the best conditions for Chinese investors to operate in the province.
