(QNO) - The JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and Minamiboso city of Japan have recently  transfered some agarwood (aloes) powder drillers to the Agarwood Fine Art Association of Tien Phuoc district (Quang Nam province).

At present, Tien Phuoc district has about 200 agarwood processing and producing  firms with over 1,000 workers, the average monthly salary reaches 4.5 million VND per worker.

To exploit the potential of this traditional occupation, the People’s Committee of Tien Phuoc district has invested nearly 1.5 billion VND (about 74,000 USD) to build factories, buy machines to process agarwood and produce agarwood fine art products.
