(QNO) - Hoi An (Quang Nam) has just conducted a survey at the Bay Mau nipa palm forest to develop a plan to open a new high-ranking tour there.
Accordingly, Hoi A will provide a new high-ranking tour in a fairly isolated area, surrounding the nipa palm forest near Cua Dai bridge. The tour is aimed at serving visitors who love tranquilly in the river’s ecological space.
The tour put into operation will take visitors to an area of primeval nipa palm forest, located close to the Thu Bon river.
Accordingly, Cam Thanh commune will set up a plan to build infrastructure, dredge canals, build wharfs, and the places for traditional craft performances.
It is expected that the tour will come into operation in 2024.
The Bay Mau nipa palm forest is located in Cam Thanh commune (Hoi An, Quang Nam). It covers an area of nearly 300 hectares at the Thu Bon river mouth.
The forest belongs to the buffer zone of the Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An biosphere reserve. It provides a reproductive environment for aquatic animals. The forest is also well-known for its historical values.
The Bay Mau nipa palm forest currently receives an average of over 3000 arrivals a day.
