(QNO) - A part of a house in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province is made of waste glass bottles.

The bottle house has not been completed after 15 years of construction due to the shortage of materials.

It is a very special house because its owner himself collects bottles, designs the interior and builds the house.

Mr. Le Hoang Linh (or Mr. Co), the owner of this house said he wants to build a beautiful and unique house of the waste glass bottles.

These bottles are collected mainly in restaurants in Hoi An city. Then, they are classified and cleaned.

Mr. Linh’s house stairs are decorated with blue glass bottles.

It is a 2-storey house with concrete pillars. According to Mr. Linh, the house has 3 layers of walls, including 1 layer of bricks in the middle, 2 layers of bottles inside and outside. Each bottle is filled with water to cool the house.

The bottles make the house more beautiful by reflecting colorful light.
