1st Anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Space

(QNO) - The 1st Anniversary Celebration of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Space (VJCS) was held in Hoi An on November 12.

The inauguration of the VJCS was held on November 11, 2017 and witnessed by Vietnamese and Japanese Prime Ministers, Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Shinzo Abe.

The space covers on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street and the surrounding area of Japanese Bridge in Hoi An city.

In the VJCS, there is an exhibition of a Red-seal ship, historical documents and materials, archeological results of Vietnam-Japan trade exchange and Japanese square in Hoi An in the 17th century, performances of Japanese tea ceremony and green tea.

Besides, Vietnamese and Japanese folk games are also organized frequently. They are Origami (Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures), folding coco-leaves, Vietnamese and Japanese games for kids, Vietnamese and Japanese calligraphy, classes in Vietnamese folk songs, Vietnamese and Japanese flower garlands and coloured lanterns, tour of Japanese ancient trace in Hoi An, lively scene of Hoianian costume- Time memory and Japanese clothes.

The VJCS contributes to bettering relations between Vietnam and Japan. It is a cultural product of the both countries, a tourism product that is very attractive to visitors, especially the Japanese.
